ABOUT ME

Hello there, my name is Brian Brooks and I run Briason B Photography, based in New Jersey. My passion for photography began all the way back when I was 16 and got my first "real" camera. I'm thankful to my friends for agreeing to be the subjects of my photos for a while. I continued on with it throughout high school, but pursued other career paths after.

​A few years after graduating high school I began studying photography at Savannah College of Art and Design. After a couple semesters I decided that I was ready to enter the professional world, so two months after my last semester ended I started a job. For the next year I was a professional newborn photographer working in the maternity unit at the hospital, taking photographs of one-day-old babies. All the meanwhile I was doing occasional freelance work as well.

When I left that job I tried out other careers again, and photography became just a hobby for a while. Another couple years passed while I worked in other professions, but photography was always at the back of my mind. So, I knew I had to get back to it and fit my passion back into work again.
